This is a joint project of a private villa in Panama. Inspired in the native fauna of this unique place at the shores of the Atlantic coast of Central America we named this project ‘flamingo’ and used different shades of pink in the decoration. The nature here is beautiful, pushing you to constantly spend time outdoors, so our main challenge was to make a house you should enjoy staying in as much as going out.
The client is a connoisseur of art and this project is part of his collection, as well as a place to exhibit paintings and sculptures.
We decided that the main feature in the design of the villa would be the complete absence of everything superfluous. The interior is distinguished by an abundance of colors, and its layout is carefully thought out taking into account the location of the paintings and sculptures from the collection. As a result, the rooms do not look cluttered, although the house has absolutely everything you need for comfort and many built-in wardrobes. The dining area has large stained-glass windows to the floor and is fully integrated with the outside. Considering that the climate here is warm and humid, and the temperature rarely drops below 24 degrees, when creating the design, we decided to use a large number of plants and flowers in the exterior, which will fill the house with its aroma.
Also, due to the southern exposure of the villa, special attention was paid to the system of natural ventilation and sun protection.
